2024 Employee of the 1st Quarter
« ReturnSt. James Parish Hospital is proud to announce the 2024 Employee of the 1st Quarter, Cassie Guidry, Phlebotomist. Cassie was nominated by fellow staff and chosen by the Executive Leadership Team for her dedication to the hospital.
Cassie attended Fletcher Technical Community College for PCT (Patient Care Technician). She is a nationally-certified phlebotomist and has served St. James Parish Hospital for over seven years. Additionally, she is a certified Instructor for DOT Chain of Custody Drug Screens and for Chain of Custody Breath Alcohols. She is currently back in school at River Parishes Community College to earn her certification as a Medical Coding Specialist (CCS).
Cassie was nominated by Arianne Pittman, MLS(ASCP)CM, Director of Laboratory Services.
“Cassie always demonstrates a ‘can-do’ attitude,” said Arianne.
“She is willing to help wherever and whenever needed even if it is an out of ordinary task she is not familiar with. She is always willing to learn more without hesitation and wholeheartedly takes ownership of what is asked of her. She is a great asset to our team.”
Cassie commented, “I would like to thank St. James Parish Hospital for providing me with numerous opportunities to advance my career and acquire new skills.”
“I am deeply grateful for my wonderful laboratory colleagues. They are the best coworkers I could ask for,” said Cassie.
